Coach Eberflus: Fiesty Like A Cat

On today's episode of Pardon My Take, Big Cat & PFT interviewed two of the top brass in the Chicago Bears front office: Matt Eberflus & Ryan Poles. Two weeks after they dropped the Justin Fields interview, the boys at PMT dropped another doozy for every Bears fan out there.

I suggest you all check it out for yourselves.

Head Coach Matt Eberflus and General Manager Ryan Poles sat down with the fellas for about forty-five minutes. It was a great sitdown that really showcased both of their personalities, in my opinion. They both carry themselves with a noticeably calm yet stern demeanor. It's apparent throughout the entire interview.

Big Cat & PFT we're poking fun and trying to get laughs from the jump, as usual.

They got a few laughs from Poles.

Coach Eberflus, on the other hand, was stone-cold.

He wasn't taking shit from nobody in this interview.

Early on, PFT asks Coach Eberflus about an internet rumor.
The rumor is that Coach Eberflus owns four cats.

Coach denies the rumor. He does not own four cats; however, he does own two.

Which confirms Coach Eberflus is in-fact a cat guy.

Big Cat took that piece of information and stuck it in his back pocket.

When a certain opportunity within the conversation presented itself, Big Cat brought this topic back into the discussion.
Let's check it out.

That little exchange right there tells me everything I need to know about Coach Eberflus.

This is a guy who means business. Someone who walks into a room and observes every detail.

Although Coach is a cat guy, he's not afraid to bark back. Not afraid to stand his ground. I respect and admire that in a person.

You can also tell that Eberflus has a few screws loose. Which is something I admire as well. I have a feeling he was a football player that lead with his head, tackled the right way, and laid people out like it was his job.

One of my best buddies had a similar style of play during his football career. Those are the type of guys you want on your side. On your team. Because that type of guy is gonna put it all on the line each and every time.

I've never seen Coach Eberflus' high school or college tape, but I gotta imagine he would've fit that description during his playing career. If I ever meet Nick Saban, I'm gonna ask him and report back.

As a Bears fan, the next six weeks are going to be a lot of fun for this franchise.

I'm excited about the future. Especially with these two leading the charge.

Bout to be a bunch of fireworks. Buckle up.
